India's Pentasoft To invest $23 Million In Mauritius |

Posted to the web February 21, 2001 February 21, 2001 - Port-Louis, Mauritius, Indian Ocean India's third largest software exporter, Pentasoft, is to invest 700 million rupees (23 million USD) in a cybercity project in Mauritius. Its director and chief executive, Doriasamy Kannan, visited the island early this week to finalise the project. According to Kannan, Pentasoft decided to set up an information technology project in Mauritius following last month's visit of Prime Minister Sir Anerood Jugnauth to India. Information and communication technology was the central focus during the visit. Kannan said Jugnauth encouraged Pentasoft to set up a centre in the island. He said Pentasoft was among the ten IT enterprises in India, a country, which has developed its IT, sector across boundaries. "With such experience, we want to bring our contribution to create and develop the Mauritian cybercity", Kannan emphasised. He promised to bring a real IT revolution in Mauritius. "This is the time to do so as you are ready for the revolution", Kannan said. Pentasoft offers a wide array of information technology services, including application development, migration and maintenance, Internet and e-commerce services both in India and abroad. |
